About

Hello, My name is Alexander Lavertu. I'm from Boston Massachusetts and I spent most of my years growing up in a small town named Saco, Maine. Eventually, my family and I moved to Aurora, Colorado, where I attended Cherokee Trail High School. During my time in high school, I was on the honor roll and played attack in lacrosse for JV and Varsity.

While I was in high school, I had a large interest for engineering and technology. This large interest eventually led to a certification in computer aided design which paved my initial road for a career in technology. However, when I got accepted into Colorado State University - Fort Collins, I chose a different career path of Computer Science. After spending almost three years in this field, I transitioned to Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Systems. I made this change during the pandemic because I recognized the importance of technology and business in an ever changing industry.

In addition to my studies at CSU, I have been working as a support technician for Engineering Technology Services (ETS) for the university. This job has allowed me to explore the crossover between business and technology and expand upon my foundational knowledge. This job lead me to one of my favorite projects which was building my first PC when I was a freshman in college. This project ignited a deep interest for understanding how technology works overall. 

Recently, my curiosity has lead me to learn more about web design and development, where I have a large appetite to learn more. With this large appetite, I plan to begin a remarkable course in the world of web development.
